NYSA History

The Northboro Youth Soccer Association was founded in 1978 by Joe Cummings. Joe at the time was a Northboro Middle School teacher and Algonquin varsity soccer coach. His vision for a youth soccer organization in Northboro has grown significantly form the initial 80 players in 1978, to the over 900 players now playing youth soccer in Northboro.

Since NYSA’s conception in 1978 the organization has had a tremendous number of town residents who have volunteered their time and commitment to making Northboro Youth Soccer one of the best youth soccer organizations in the state. Thank you to the many coaches and parent volunteers who provide their support and enthusiasm at each practice and game throughout the season . Thank you to all the men and women who have volunteered over the years to serve as NYSA Board members providing the hard work necessary to run the organization from year to year, and a special thank you to all the past Presidents of the organization who without their leadership and commitment NYSA would not be where it is today.
