Safety on the Soccer Field
The following rules apply to ALL Northboro Youth Soccer teams U6 to U18
Uniforms and Equipment
- Prior to the start of the game the referee will check all players for proper
uniform and equipment. The referee has final say on all equipment decisions.
- All players are required to wear shin guards.
- Shin guard are to be covered and are worn under the players socks.
- All players should wear soccer cleats, or flats.
- Baseball cleats or cleats with a “center toe” cleat are not allowed.
- No jewelry is allowed, including necklaces, bracelets, and earrings.
- All necklaces, bracelets, and pierced earrings or studs are to be removed.
Earrings or studs that are taped over are NOT allowed.
- NO hard casts or splints are allowed.
- Elbow and knee braces must be covered in protective padding.
Parents and Spectators
- Spectators should remain a minimum of 3 ft back from the touchline.
- Spectators are not allowed on the players side of the field or behind the
goal lines.
- Parents keep small children and siblings in control, and do not let them wander
onto a soccer field that is in use.
